Sony LMPC121 120W Projector Lamp

The Sony LMPC121 is a new 120W replacement projector lamp module supplied as a fully assembled bulb and housing for straightforward installation. It is designed as a genuine compatible unit for the Sony VPL-CX2 projector and uses a UHP lamp rated at 120W. Buyers receive a ready-to-fit module that restores original brightness without additional assembly steps.

Ideal for VPL-CX2 owners needing a direct

This lamp suits users who want a drop-in 120W module with a rated life of 2000 hours in normal mode or 3000 hours in economy mode. It is not for buyers who require a different wattage, a bare bulb without housing, or a lamp built for another projector model. Those needing a higher light output or a different connector type should look at other options.

Rated life of 2000 to 3000 hours decides suitability

The single specification that determines fit is the lamp life of 2000 hours in normal mode and 3000 hours in economy mode. If your maintenance schedule or usage pattern demands a longer or shorter rated lifespan, this 120W module will not match that requirement.

Questions about this item

How bright will the 120W lamp be in my VPL-CX2 projector?

The 120W UHP bulb restores the original brightness specification for the VPL-CX2, delivering the same lumen output the projector was designed for when new.

Does the lamp use a standard projector-lamp connector or a proprietary Sony interface?

The module ships as a complete housing with the same connector and mounting tabs as the factory LMPC121, so it plugs directly into the VPL-CX2 without adapters.

What clearance does the assembled housing need inside the VPL-CX2 lamp compartment?

The pre-assembled housing matches the exact dimensions of the original LMPC121 unit, fitting the existing lamp door and latch mechanism without modification.
