Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset

The Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset is a gaming headset built for PlayStation players who want low-latency audio without cables. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth and also supports a wired connection for broader device compatibility. The over-the-ear design keeps ears covered during long sessions. Midnight Black gives it a low-profile look that fits most setups.

Installation and common issues

Pairing is handled through the console or device Bluetooth menu, so no extra software is required on PlayStation. The headset also includes a wired option for devices without Bluetooth or when the battery runs low. A frequent friction point is Bluetooth multipoint not being supported, so switching between two paired devices means repairing each time. Firmware updates, when available, must be run from a compatible PlayStation console.

Capacity and headroom

Battery life covers extended gaming sessions on a single charge, while the wired fallback removes any hard stop when power runs out. The over-the-ear cups provide passive isolation that handles typical room noise but will not block loud environments like LAN events. Microphone pickup is tuned for close-range voice chat; it struggles with distant or soft-spoken input.
