Verify the projector model number before ordering

Confirm that your unit is a Sony PX31 and that the original lamp part number matches LMPP201. The supplier notes that several OEM and compatible versions exist; ensure the version you select aligns with your maintenance preferences and budget.

Pre-assembled housing simplifies installation

The lamp ships fully assembled inside its cage, so no separate bulb handling or alignment is required. A 200W UHP bulb is secured within the housing, providing a direct swap that restores brightness without additional tools or adjustments.

Questions about this item

Does the Sony PX31 lamp module arrive fully assembled with the housing, or must the housing be purchased separately?

The lamp module is supplied as a complete assembly with a new 200W Ushio UHP bulb already fitted inside the housing, so no separate housing purchase is required.

Which version of the PX31 lamp should I choose — the original OEM, Sony-sold OEM, alternative OEM or compatible?

All four versions meet ISO9001 quality checks for beam performance, ignition, voltage and run-time; pick the original OEM for exact factory match, the Sony-sold OEM for brand continuity, the alternative OEM for equivalent specs from another approved bulb maker, or the compatible for a lower-cost option using genuine OEM parts.

What does the 2000-hour rating mean for everyday use?

The 2000-hour figure is the manufacturer's rated lamp life under standard operating conditions; actual hours will vary with brightness mode, ventilation and on-off cycling.
