The Sony SNC-EM600 is a 720p HD network minidome designed for indoor security monitoring. It suits installers and facility managers who need a discreet dome form factor with PoE power and intelligent analytics. Powered by IPELA ENGINE EX, it delivers triple streaming in JPEG and H.264 at 30fps. This camera is not for buyers who require 1080p or 4K resolution, nor for projects that need built-in infrared illumination for total darkness.

Upgrade from standard-definition analogue domes

The SNC-EM600 replaces older analogue dome cameras by adding IP connectivity, 720p clarity and View-DR wide dynamic range rated at 130dB. Minimum illumination reaches 0.05lx, so the jump is worthwhile when scenes contain both bright windows and deep shadows. DEPA Advanced analytics provide intelligent motion and tamper detection that analogue systems lack. It does not suit installations that must retain existing coaxial cabling without network infrastructure.

Easy-zoom and easy-focus simplify setup

The 3-9mm varifocal lens features easy-zoom and easy-focus for remote focal-length adjustment without opening the housing. PoE eliminates separate power runs, and image stabilisation reduces vibration blur. Optional accessories include a tinted dome, plenum-rated flush mount kit and in-ceiling kit for different ceiling types. Installers without PoE switches or conduit space for Ethernet cabling should plan accordingly.
