Direct replacement for Sony VPL-MX20 projectors

This lamp module fits the Sony VPL-MX20 projector and arrives as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly ready for immediate installation. It serves owners who need a genuine 200 W UHP light source to restore original brightness. Buyers seeking lamps for other projector models or higher-wattage alternatives will need a different part.

OEM-grade assembly with ISO 9001 manufacturing

Each unit is built to ISO 9001 quality standards using bulbs from Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita. The pre-assembled housing eliminates the need to handle a bare bulb, reducing the risk of contamination or misalignment during a change. Installers who prefer to reuse an existing cage or who require a bare bulb only will find this module unsuitable.

200 W UHP lamp rated for 2 000 hours

The 200 W UHP bulb delivers a rated life of 2 000 hours under normal operating conditions. Power draw remains fixed at 200 W, so the projector’s cooling system must handle that thermal load continuously. Users running the projector in high-altitude or poorly ventilated environments should verify that the stock cooling capacity is sufficient.

Questions about this item

What projector models does the Sony LMP-M200 lamp module fit?

This module is built for the Sony VPL-MX20 projector and ships as a complete housing with the 200W UHP bulb already installed.

What physical space does the lamp housing occupy inside the VPL-MX20?

The assembly matches the original chassis dimensions so it slides into the projector's lamp compartment without adapters or brackets.

Which installation step do owners most often miss when swapping the LMP-M200?

After inserting the new housing, the lamp-hour counter in the projector menu must be reset to zero so the 2000-hour rating tracks correctly.
