Ready-to-install lamp module

The Sony VPL-TX7 lamp ships as a complete housing with a new Philips UHP 190W bulb already fitted. It matches the original LMPE191 part number and is built to ISO9001 quality checks for beam performance, ignition, voltage and run-time. Installers simply swap the old module without handling a bare bulb.

Steady output across modes

In normal mode the lamp is rated for 2,000 hours of operation, while economy mode extends the rating to 3,000 hours. The 190W UHP design maintains consistent brightness throughout each session rather than fading quickly after ignition. Users who run long presentations or classroom sessions will see stable output for the full rated period.

Predictable heat and power

The lamp draws a fixed 190W, so power consumption and thermal load stay constant during use. Cooling requirements match the projector’s original design, avoiding unexpected fan speed changes. Buyers who need higher wattage or a different bulb technology will not find those options in this module.

Questions about this item

How hot or loud does the 190W Philips UHP bulb run during all-day use?

The lamp draws 190 watts, so it generates noticeable heat; the projector's internal fan system handles cooling and noise levels, which will vary by model and room ventilation.

Which Sony projectors accept the LMPE191 housing without extra parts?

This module is built for the Sony VPL-TX7 series; it includes the complete housing so no separate cage or adapter is required for those projectors.

Will the 2,000-hour normal rating match the original lamp in my older VPL-TX7?

Yes, the replacement is rated for 2,000 hours in normal mode and 3,000 hours in economy mode, matching the original specifications for that projector.
