Lightweight Over-Ear Headphones for Daily Commuters

The Sony WH-CH720N weighs very little for an over-ear design, making it easy to wear through a full workday or long flight. Adaptive noise canceling uses dual sensors to reduce ambient sound automatically. Bluetooth 5.2 multipoint lets you stay connected to a phone and laptop at the same time. Integrated beamforming microphones keep voice calls clear in busy environments.

Sustained Listening with 35-Hour Battery Life

A full charge delivers up to 35 hours of playback with noise canceling active, enough for several days of typical commuting. Three-and-a-half hours on USB-C restores the battery completely. A three-minute fast charge adds roughly one hour of use when time is short. The V1 processor manages power efficiently during extended sessions without thermal throttling.

Swivel Earcups and App-Driven Sound Tuning

Earcups swivel flat for compact storage in a bag or on a desk. The Sony Headphones Connect app provides 360 Reality Audio optimisation tailored to individual ear shape. Touch controls on the housing handle playback, volume and voice-assistant access without reaching for a device. USB-C charging uses the same cable as most modern phones and laptops.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise do the WH-CH720N headphones generate when I wear them all day?

The WH-CH720N have no fan and produce no measurable heat; they run silently on the integrated battery for up to 35 hours per charge.

What source device must I already own to use Bluetooth 5.2 multipoint on the WH-CH720N?

You need a smartphone, tablet or computer that supports Bluetooth 5.2 or earlier to pair two devices simultaneously via multipoint.

Will the WH-CH720N work with my older wired headphone amp that only has a 3.5 mm jack?

The WH-CH720N are wireless-only with no analog input, so they cannot connect directly to a 3.5 mm headphone amplifier.
