What this receiver does

The Sony XAVAX3200 is a 6.95" digital media receiver built for double-DIN dash openings. It adds AM/FM radio, Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming, plus WebLink screen mirroring for compatible smartphones. The resistive touchscreen and brushed aluminium key terminal give direct control without a factory infotainment system.

Fitting it into the dashboard

The chassis slides into a standard double-DIN aperture, so no custom fabrication is required. Four-channel amplification at 55 W per channel drives front and rear speakers directly, removing the need for a separate amplifier in many installs. A wireless remote is included for rear-seat operation.

What the extras provide

The bundled remote lets passengers adjust volume and source without reaching the front panel. WebLink mirroring puts supported phone apps on the 6.95" display for navigation and media. EXTRA BASS boost enhances low-frequency output from the internal amplifier.

Questions about this item

What limits the 4 x 55 W amplifier during sustained high-volume playback?

The built-in thermal protection reduces output when the chassis reaches its safe temperature threshold.

How much heat and fan noise does the unit produce during all-day operation?

The receiver runs passively cooled; the brushed aluminum face dissipates heat silently with no internal fan.

Which dash opening and wiring harness must the vehicle already have for this receiver to install?

It requires a standard double-DIN opening and ISO power/speaker connectors.
