Mini-LED panel and 120 Hz refresh

This 85" Mini-LED television uses Sony's Cognitive Processor XR to drive thousands of local-dimming zones for high peak brightness and deep blacks. The 4K panel runs at a native 120 Hz refresh rate with variable refresh rate and auto low-latency mode support. Google TV provides the smart platform with built-in Google Assistant voice control.

HDMI 2.1 ports and wall-mount spacing

Verify that your AV receiver or soundbar can pass 4K 120 Hz signals through its HDMI inputs to use the TV's gaming features. The set includes a multi-position stand; if you plan to wall-mount, confirm the VESA pattern and clearance for the rear-facing connections. A wired LAN port is available alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for network integration.

BRAVIA CORE credits and Game Menu

The bundled BRAVIA CORE app grants 5 credits for recent 4K UHD releases plus a 12-month classic catalogue subscription. Game Menu consolidates picture presets, VRR status and assist features into a single overlay. The 360 Spatial Sound Ready certification lets you add compatible Sony speakers for mapped surround sound calibrated from the listening position.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the XR85X93L and do I need to buy a wall mount separately?

The 85" Mini-LED TV ships with a multi-position stand, remote, batteries and cables. A VESA wall mount is not included and must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 85" X93L or a smaller screen size for my room?

The XR85X93L is offered only in the 85" size. If you need a smaller diagonal, you would select a different model in the X93L series.

How does the 120 Hz refresh rate benefit gaming on a PlayStation 5?

The native 120 Hz panel supports 4K/120 Hz, VRR and ALLM, so PS5 games with high-frame-rate modes run smoothly with low input lag.
