THHN 14 AWG solid copper wire with PVC insulation and nylon jacket, 600 V rated, supplied on a 50 ft spool
This solid-conductor THHN wire is rated for 600V AC and comes in a 50 ft spool with a red nylon jacket over PVC insulation. It suits residential and light-commercial branch circuits run in conduit or raceway. Electricians and DIY installers use it for general-purpose wiring where a single 14 AWG conductor is specified.
The nominal 0.1 in outside diameter lets the wire pull through standard conduit sizes without excessive friction. PVC insulation and a nylon jacket resist abrasion and moisture during installation and normal service. The solid single strand keeps the profile slim for tight conduit fills.
A solid 14 AWG copper conductor carries its rated ampacity continuously when installed in approved conduit at proper fill. The 600V AC rating and thermoplastic insulation maintain integrity under normal operating temperatures. The 50 ft length covers typical branch-circuit runs without splices.

Feed the wire from the spool straight into the conduit, avoiding sharp bends tighter than the 0.1 in outside diameter allows; use a fish tape and pull lubricant to prevent the PVC insulation from scraping against fittings.
Replace the wire if the nylon jacket becomes brittle, cracked, or faded from heat or UV exposure, since damaged jacket compromises the 600 V AC insulation rating.
The 0.1 in nominal outside diameter and solid conductor limit heat dissipation, so insulation temperature rise becomes the limiting factor before voltage drop over 50 ft.
