Floor protection for office chairs

This tempered glass chair mat shields flooring beneath a desk chair while providing a smooth rolling surface. The clear 48 by 60 inch panel suits home and commercial workspaces alike. Tempered glass construction resists scratches and supports heavy loads without bending. It keeps floors looking new under daily use.

Replaces plastic or polycarbonate mats

A glass mat eliminates the curling, cracking and clouding that occur with softer materials over time. The upgrade is worthwhile when a mat must endure constant rolling on carpet or hard floors. Its rigid surface stays flat and clear for years without developing ridges. Maintenance is limited to a quick wipe with a damp cloth.

Fits standard desk footprints

The rectangular dimensions cover the primary rolling zone behind a typical desk. Compatible with high-pile carpet, low-pile carpet, hardwood and marble so no sub-floor preparation is required. The hard surface frees casters from sinking into pile, reducing leg fatigue. No adhesives or anchors are needed; the mat stays in place through its own weight.

Questions about this item

What floor space does the 48 x 60 mat cover?

The mat measures 48 by 60 inches and lies flat on the floor beneath the chair, protecting an area of that exact footprint on carpet, hardwood or marble.

How do you place the LLR82835 and what is the common mistake?

Unroll the tempered glass panel directly onto the floor with the smooth side up; the step people miss is checking that the surface is clean and level so the mat does not rock or trap grit.

When will the glass surface need attention or replacement?

The scratch-resistant tempered glass is rated for up to 1 000 lb and covered by a five-year limited warranty; under normal office use it only requires occasional wiping and would need replacement only if cracked or chipped.
