End-tab folders for shelf filing

Sparco SP17237 end-tab folders are designed for offices that organise documents on open shelving. The straight-cut tabs provide a clear surface for multiple colour-coded labels, supporting a variety of indexing systems. Each box contains 100 folders, making them an economical choice for high-volume filing. The one-ply tab construction keeps the profile slim for dense storage.

Flat storage with minimal bulk

Because the tab is a single ply, the folders add very little thickness when stacked side by side on a shelf. This allows more files to fit in a given linear space without increasing the footprint of the storage area. The straight tabs lie flat against the folder body, reducing the chance of snagging on adjacent files during retrieval. No special environmental controls are required beyond normal office conditions.

SFI certification supports responsible sourcing

The folders carry SFI certification, confirming that the paper fibre comes from responsibly managed forests. This can help organisations meet internal sustainability targets or procurement policies that reference forest-certified products. The certification applies to the folder stock itself and does not require any additional software or accessories to maintain. The box of 100 arrives ready to label and file immediately.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the SP17237 end-tab folders on a shelf, and what is the common mistake?

Place folders upright with tabs facing outward for shelf filing; the step often missed is applying colour-coded labels to the straight-cut tabs before loading documents.

What part of the SP17237 folders will wear first and need replacement?

The one-ply tabs handle repeated handling and label changes; they are the first component to show fraying or tearing under heavy use.

What limit appears first when the SP17237 folders are used continuously on a busy shelf?

The one-ply tab strength limits sustained use; heavy daily access causes tabs to bend or tear before the folder body fails.
