Single Black 1/0 AWG Battery Cable
This 2 ft single black battery cable uses 1/0 AWG pure copper conductors for high-current power distribution. It is built for RV, motorhome, travel trailer, camper, fleet truck, boat, golf cart, solar and off-grid wiring where heavy-duty battery connections are required. The cable ships cut to length and ready to use.
Compatibility Check
Verify that your battery posts or bus bars accept the supplied ring terminals, which come in either 5/16 inch or 3/8 inch sizes depending on the cable gauge. Ensure your system voltage does not exceed the 1000V rating and that the UL 1232, 1284, 1338, 1346 and 10269 approvals meet your installation code requirements. The cable is VW-1 and moisture resistant for harsh environments.
Upgrade Path
This cable replaces thinner gauge leads such as 4 AWG or 2 AWG when voltage drop or current capacity becomes a limiting factor in inverter, grounding or solar circuits. The jump is worth it when runs demand the ampacity of 1/0 AWG copper and the adhesive-lined irradiated polyolefin heat shrink adds long-term strain relief. It is not suited for buyers who need multi-conductor cables or integrated fuse blocks.

Questions about this item
What comes with the 2 ft 1/0 AWG cable and what must I source separately?
The cable arrives cut to length with adhesive-lined heat shrink and either 5/16 or 3/8 ring terminals crimped on; no extra lugs or tools are included.
How do I choose between the listed AWG sizes?
Match the gauge to your maximum current draw — 1/0 AWG handles heavier loads than 4 AWG or 2 AWG, while 4/0 AWG is for the highest amperage systems.
What does the 1000 V rating mean when the cable is installed in a 12 V battery bank?
The 1000 V rating shows the insulation is tested far above a 12 V system voltage, so voltage drop and dielectric strength are not limiting factors at 12 V.
