Laser-Sensing Timer Target

The SPECIAL PIE J10C is an electronic scoring target that uses laser sensing to register hits for IPSC practice. It suits shooters who want immediate feedback on shot timing and count during dry-fire or live-fire drills. The unit runs on five AA batteries or a power bank for portable use.

Sustained Session Behaviour

The target displays hit time and cumulative hits each time the sensing area is struck, letting the shooter track performance without pausing. Built-in audio simulates a shooting scene and offers two volume levels plus a mute option for extended indoor sessions. Settings remain stable across repeated strings of fire.

Ten Training Modes

The J10C provides ten selectable modes that define how hit data is presented and how multi-target groups behave. Three wireless channels allow separate target groups to operate side by side without interference. Buyers who need more than ten modes or additional channels should consider other equipment.

Questions about this item

Does the timer run hot or make noise when powered by a powerbank for long sessions?

The unit uses engineering plastics and has no fan, so it stays cool and silent during extended use with a powerbank.

What must I already own to power the J10C out of the box?

You need either five AA batteries or a USB powerbank; neither is included with the target.

Can the J10C share a channel with an older SPECIAL PIE target that only supports two groups?

The J10C offers three channels (01, 02, 03); an older two-group target cannot join its third channel.
