Indoor Dry-Fire Target Set

The SPECIAL PIE SP-DF set provides paper targets scaled so that a two-to-three-metre indoor distance simulates the angular size of a fifteen-to-twenty-metre live-fire target. It is intended for shooters aged fourteen and above who want to practise IPSC and IDPA drills at home with rubber guns or laser trainers.

Thermals Noise and Power

No electricity, batteries or moving parts are involved, so the targets produce no heat, no fan noise and draw zero power during use. The veneer material simply hangs or stands in place while the shooter fires dry or with a laser emitter.

Upgrade Path

The kit replaces improvised paper printouts and static single sheets by supplying four IPSC targets, two IDPA targets, two large pop-up targets, two small pop-up targets and a bullet-hole measurement card in one package. Shooters who need reactive steel feedback or electronic hit detection will not find those functions here.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the SP-DF targets at the correct 2M-3M distance for 15-20M simulation?

Place the IPSC, IDPA and pop-up targets on a flat surface at 2 to 3 metres from the firing line; the included measurement card lets you verify the scaled 15 to 20 metre equivalence.

What parts of the SP-DF set will need replacement after repeated dry-fire sessions?

The veneer target faces and pop-up mechanisms will wear first; keep spare 6/1 standard target sheets and pop-up units on hand for quick swaps.

At what point does the 6/1 standard target size limit hit detection during sustained laser training?

The fixed 6/1 target dimensions become the limiting factor when laser-spot grouping tightens beyond the scoring zones, requiring a fresh target sheet.
