Training Cartridge Specifications

The SPECIAL PIE SPB-F9 is a 9 by 18 millimetre laser training cartridge designed for dry-fire practice. It fits a 9mm calibre bore to convert a real firearm into a laser training tool. The unit is built from brass for durability and includes three LR626 button cells for immediate use.

Upgrade From Conventional Dry Fire

This cartridge replaces inert snap caps or dummy rounds by emitting a visible red laser dot on trigger pull. The jump is worth it when shooters need instant visual feedback on muzzle alignment without live ammunition. It also serves as a low-cost aid for zeroing sights and verifying point of aim.

Suited For Indoor Practice

The device suits owners of 9mm handguns who want safe, repetitive trigger training at home or in venues where live fire is prohibited. It works with various laser target brands for scored drills. Shooters needing centre-fire rifle calibration or a cartridge for other calibres should look at different tools.

Questions about this item

Will the 9*18mm cartridge fit my 9mm barrel for dry-fire practice?

The flat-headed 9*18mm cartridge is sized to seat in a 9mm bore so the laser aligns with the barrel for dry-fire training.

How do I install the LR626 batteries and what step is often missed?

Insert the three supplied LR626 button cells with the positive side facing the laser module; the common mistake is reversing one cell, which prevents the laser from activating.

When will the LR626 batteries need replacing during regular training?

The low-power laser draws minimal current, so the three LR626 cells typically last through many sessions before a swap is needed.
