Printer Model Compatibility Check

Confirm that your device appears in the supported list before ordering. The pack fits numerous DCP, HL, Intellifax, MFC and Pitney Bowes models including the 1030, 1200, 1230, 1240, 1250, 1260, 1270, 1400, 1435, 1440, 1450, 1470, 1630, 2500, 4100, 4750, 5750, 8300, 8350, 8500, 8600, 8700, 8750, 9600, 9650, 9700, 9750, 9800, 9850 and 9870 series.

Aftermarket Build and Daily Handling

Cartridges and drum are manufactured as aftermarket replacements rather than original Brother units. Each component slots into the printer using the standard Brother TN460 and DR400 interfaces so installation follows the usual front-access routine. The dye-based toner formulation is designed for crisp black output on plain paper. Buyers who need colour printing or original-brand supplies should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the pack include both toner cartridges and the drum unit, or do I need to buy the DR400 separately?

The 3-pack contains two black TN460 toner cartridges and one DR400 drum unit, so no separate drum purchase is required.

My printer is an HL-1240 — is this the correct pack or is there a different capacity I should choose?

The HL-1240 appears in the compatible-printer list, so this TN460 high-yield and DR400 combination is the right choice for that model.

What does the TN460 high-yield rating mean for everyday printing on an MFC-8500?

The TN460 high-yield toner is designed to print more pages per cartridge than a standard-yield version, reducing how often you replace toner on the MFC-8500.
