What It Is and Who It Is For

The Spotminders 15W Magnetic Wireless Charger is a foldable Qi charging pad that doubles as a kickstand for hands-free viewing. It suits iPhone 12 through 17 series users who want MagSafe-style magnetic alignment, as well as Samsung Galaxy and other Qi-enabled phone owners needing a compact desk or travel charger. Buyers who require simultaneous multi-device charging or a built-in power adapter should look elsewhere.

The Spec That Decides Fit

Maximum output reaches 15 W for compatible Samsung Galaxy models, 7.5 W for iPhone 12 through 17 series, and 5 W for standard Qi devices. The charger connects via a built-in USB-C plug, so a separate USB-C power source capable of delivering the required wattage must be supplied by the user. Cases thicker than 8 mm or containing metal may prevent charging.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

An advanced cooling system and smart temperature-control chip manage heat during fast charging sessions, while over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protections limit power draw under fault conditions. The unit operates silently with no moving parts. A full charge of the companion tracking card takes about 1.5 hours and then lasts roughly 6 to 8 months on a single charge.

Questions about this item

What charging speed will I actually see with an iPhone 15?

The pad delivers up to 7.5W to iPhone 12 through 17 series, so an iPhone 15 charges at that rate when magnetically aligned.

What does the USB-C connector on the charger require from my power source?

Plug the built-in USB-C tip into any USB-C port or adapter that can supply enough current for 15W output; the charger itself has no separate AC brick.

How thick is the folded unit and will it slide on a desk?

It folds into a slim, lightweight pad with a non-slip surface that stays put on a desk or nightstand.
