What it is

Spray Nine 22732 Grez-Off is a heavy-duty degreaser supplied in a 32 oz pump spray bottle. The water-based, non-flammable formula contains no petroleum solvents and is VOC-compliant in all 50 states. It is designed for professional and industrial users who need to remove grease, oil and grime from engines, machinery, tools and hard surfaces.

Sustained use

The ready-to-use liquid works without harsh fumes or unpleasant odours, making it suitable for extended cleaning sessions in enclosed areas such as garages or workshops. Fast-acting surfactants penetrate built-up grime and lift it away without the need for aggressive petroleum-based solvents. The non-acidic composition helps protect stainless steel, chrome and painted surfaces during repeated application.

Practical limits

The degreaser is formulated for water-soluble soils and may not dissolve heavy petroleum-based residues as quickly as traditional solvent cleaners. It is not intended for use on electrical components, hot surfaces or fabrics that could be damaged by water. Users should test a small area first to confirm material compatibility before treating large sections.

Questions about this item

Will the 32 oz pump spray bottle leak or clog after sitting on a hot garage shelf all day?

The ready-to-use formula is water-based, nonflammable and contains no petroleum solvents, so it stays stable in heat and the pump sprayer resists clogging.

Do I need any extra equipment — such as a pressure washer or respirator — to use this degreaser on an engine?

No extra equipment is required; the product is a ready-to-use spray that works without harsh fumes, so a pressure washer or respirator is unnecessary.

Is the 22732 formula safe on the older chrome and stainless steel parts I still have on my classic bike?

Yes, the nonacidic, water-soluble solvent is designed for use on chrome, stainless steel and other metals without causing corrosion.
