Float Rod for 9038D Class

This stainless steel float rod is designed for use with Square D 9038D Class liquid level controls. It connects to the mechanism via manufacturer number 9037E and provides the mechanical link needed for float-operated switching in tanks or sumps. The rod measures 1-3/4 inches and is supplied new.

Suitable for maintenance and new installations

Technicians repairing or assembling 9038D Class controls will find this the correct replacement rod. It is not intended for other control classes, different manufacturers, or applications requiring a longer or shorter rod length. Buyers needing a different rod size or material should verify compatibility before ordering.

1-3/4 inch stainless steel rod length

The critical specification is the 1-3/4 inch length of the stainless steel rod, which must match the tank depth and float travel required by the 9038D Class installation. Confirm this dimension against your system drawings to ensure proper float actuation and switch operation.

Questions about this item

Does the 9049ER1 come with the 9038D Class unit or just the 1-3/4 in stainless steel rod?

The package includes only the 1-3/4 in stainless steel rod; the 9038D Class unit must be purchased separately.

When should I select the 9049ER1 versus another rod length?

Choose the 9049ER1 when your 9038D Class installation specifically requires a 1-3/4 in rod; other lengths fit different tank depths.

How does the 1-3/4 in rod length affect the liquid level switch point?

The 1-3/4 in rod sets the float travel so the switch actuates at the level designed for the 9038D Class mechanism.
