Mechanical lug kit provides three connectors rated 150 A and 600 V AC for Powerpact H, J and L frame breakers, accepting wire from 14 to 3/0 AWG
This SQUARE D AL150HD kit provides three mechanical lugs rated for 150 A at 600V AC. It is designed for use with Powerpact H, J and L frame circuit breakers. The lugs accept wire sizes from 14 AWG up to 3/0 AWG. Each package contains three lugs for a three-pole installation.
Electrical professionals terminating conductors on compatible Powerpact frames will find the correct lug count and wire range here. Buyers who need a different amperage rating, a different voltage class, or a different number of poles should look at other lug kits. Installers working with non-Powerpact breaker frames cannot use this kit.
The minimum and maximum wire sizes determine which conductors can be securely terminated. This range covers typical copper or aluminium building wire for 150 A circuits. Verify that your conductor size falls within these limits before purchasing.

Torque each of the three lugs to the breaker's specified value; the step most often missed is verifying the torque after the first heat cycle.
Inspect the three lugs periodically for discoloration or loose connections; replace any lug that shows overheating damage.
The 150 A rating of each lug is the first limit reached during continuous operation.
