Two-pole 25 A miniature breaker rated 120/240 V AC and 48 V DC with 10 kA interrupting capacity, bolt-on mounting for QO load centres
The Square D QOB225 is a 25 A two-pole miniature circuit breaker rated for 120/240 V AC and 48 V DC. It belongs to the QO series and uses a bolt-on mounting style with a paddle actuator. Designed for single-phase QO load centres and NQOD panelboards, it fits a 100 A frame size.
The interrupting capacity is 10 kA at the rated AC voltage. This single figure determines whether the breaker can safely clear a fault in the panelboard where it will be installed. Verify that the available fault current at the point of installation does not exceed this rating.
Installation requires bolting the breaker directly to the QO bus and securing conductors under the pressure-plate terminals. The most common issue is using a plug-on panel instead of a bolt-on bus, which prevents the breaker from seating correctly. Ensure the panelboard series matches the QOB designation before starting.
