Expansion for Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is an expansion pack that requires the base game A Realm Reborn to play. It extends the MMORPG experience for existing subscribers who want to continue the main scenario and reach the new level cap of 70.

New jobs and exploration mechanics

The expansion introduces the Red Mage and Samurai jobs, adding fresh combat styles for damage-dealing roles. Swimming and diving mechanics open underwater traversal in new and existing zones, while the battle system receives broad adjustments that change ability flow for all classes.

Level cap and endgame scope

The level cap rises from 60 to 70, providing ten additional levels of progression through new areas such as Ala Mhigo and the Forbidden Land of Eureka. Endgame content includes the Omega 8-man raid, a new alliance raid, fresh dungeons, and a new primal encounter, though players without the base game cannot access any of it.
