Sleeping Dogs Nightmare in North Point DLC

This downloadable expansion adds a supernatural storyline to the base game Sleeping Dogs. Players control Wei Shen as he battles hopping vampires, demons and ghostly foes across the city. The content requires the original game and a Steam account for activation and installation. It is rated M 17+ for mature themes including blood, violence and strong language.

Suitable for owners of the core game wanting extra

This DLC is designed for players who already own Sleeping Dogs on PC and wish to extend the campaign with new moves, weapons and enemies. Buyers without the base game cannot play this expansion. Those seeking a standalone horror title or a multiplayer mode should look elsewhere as the add-on is single-player only and depends entirely on the original release.

15 GB install with modest hardware requirements

The expansion needs 15 GB of hard-disk space and runs on Windows Vista Service Pack 2 or later. Minimum specifications call for a Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Athlon X2 2.7 GHz processor, 2 GB of memory and a DirectX 10 card such as a Radeon 3870 or GTX 8800. Recommended settings ask for a quad-core CPU, 4 GB of memory, DirectX 11 and a Radeon 6950 or GTX 560 for smoother performance.

Questions about this item

Do I need the base Sleeping Dogs game installed before I can activate this Nightmare in North Point code?

Yes, the DLC requires the original Sleeping Dogs game on Steam; the code only unlocks the Nightmare in North Point expansion once the base title is present.

Will this DLC run on my Windows Vista SP2 system with a Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 2GB RAM and an ATI Radeon 3870?

Those specs match the listed minimums — Vista SP2, Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM and a DirectX 10 card such as the Radeon 3870 — so the expansion should launch, though performance may be limited.

After redeeming the Steam code, how can I confirm Nightmare in North Point is installed and ready to play?

Open your Steam library, select Sleeping Dogs, view the DLC tab and verify Nightmare in North Point shows as installed; launching the game will then display the new vampire-themed missions on the main menu.
