4-Channel Passive Audio Combiner

The SQWRWY mixer merges up to four microphones, instruments or line-level sources into one balanced XLR output. It operates without external power, using a passive parallel circuit with transformer isolation to sum signals cleanly. The aluminium chassis shields against interference while gold-plated copper connectors ensure reliable contact.

Dual Combo Jacks per Channel

Each of the four input channels accepts both 3-pin XLR and balanced 1/4" TRS plugs, removing the need for adapters when connecting mixed source types. This flexibility lets users combine vocal mics, DI boxes and keyboards in any arrangement. The single XLR male output feeds the summed signal directly into a mixer channel or audio interface input.

Suits Small-Group Recording and Live Summing

Podcasters, musicians and engineers who need to consolidate a handful of sources into one interface channel will find it practical. It is not suited for applications requiring per-channel gain control, phantom power, equalisation or signal processing. Buyers needing powered mixing, more than four inputs or built-in effects should look at active mixer alternatives.

Questions about this item

Do the combo jacks or the XLR output ever wear out and need replacing?

The four combo jacks accept both 3-pin XLR and 1/4" TRS plugs, and the single XLR male output is gold-plated copper; normal studio or live use does not require scheduled replacement of these connectors.

What limits how many sources I can combine continuously?

The unit provides exactly four input channels, so the hard limit is four microphones, instruments or line-level devices summed into one balanced XLR output.

Does the box get hot or add noise when it runs all day?

The passive parallel circuit needs no external power, so it generates no heat and the transformer isolation keeps the summed signal clean during extended sessions.
