Dual USB-C and USB-A drive

Zinc alloy body with shock resistance

The metal casing resists drops and abrasion while helping to dissipate heat during long transfers. Both connectors are built into the same compact housing so nothing protrudes when plugged in. Plug-and-play operation means no driver installation on any supported device.

Up to 550 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write

Real-world speeds reach 550 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write on a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, dropping to 450 MB/s on USB 3.0 or 3.1 Gen 1. A 2 GB 4K video transfers in roughly 5 seconds and 1000 photos in under 20 seconds. Windows shows about 953 GB usable space due to binary conversion.

Questions about this item

What real-world speed does the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface cap at when the drive is plugged into a USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen1 port?

The drive is limited to 450 MB/s on those older ports, well below its 550 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write potential.

What physical connectors does the dual-drive stick use to fit both phones and computers?

It has a USB-C plug on one side and a USB-A 3.2 plug on the other, letting you move data between iPhone 15, Android, tablets, laptops and desktops without adapters.

How is the drive set up out of the box, and what formatting step catches people out on Windows?

It arrives formatted exFAT for plug-and-play on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android; Windows will show about 953 GB instead of 1 TB because it counts 1 GB as 1024 MB.
