4TB portable SSD for creators

This 4TB portable SSD delivers read speeds up to 1050MB/s and write speeds up to 1000MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen 2. It targets video editors, photographers and gamers who need fast access to massive files. The drive supports direct 4K60Hz ProRes HDR capture on iPhone 15 and 16 Pro models. Its lightweight aluminum body weighs 36.6g and measures 2.6×1.5×0.5 inches for easy pocket carry.

Plug in and work with both cables included

Installation is straightforward because the box supplies both USB-C and USB-A cables. No adapters or extra software are required for Windows, macOS, Android or iPhone. The drive uses S.M.A.R.T. and TRIM to maintain consistent write speeds and extend lifespan. A common issue is that Windows may show the capacity as 3725GB instead of 4TB due to the 1,024MB versus 1,000MB calculation difference.

Check your port and file system first

Before ordering, verify that your device has a USB-C or USB-A port capable of USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds to reach the rated performance. Older ports will work but transfer rates will drop. Ensure the drive is formatted with a file system your operating systems support if you plan to move files between platforms. The aluminum case dissipates heat during sustained workloads, so confirm adequate airflow if used in tight spaces.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the drive is delivering the quoted 1050MB/s read and 1000MB/s write speeds after I connect it?

Run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or Blackmagic Disk Speed Test over the USB 3.2 Gen 2 link; sustained sequential results near the quoted figures confirm the drive is operating as intended.

What cables are included and is anything else required to use the drive with a phone, tablet or computer?

Both a USB-C and a USB-A cable are supplied in the box, so no extra adapters or software are needed for Windows, macOS, Android or iPhone 15/16 Pro.

The spec sheet shows only a 4TB model — how do I decide if that capacity is right for me?

The single 4TB version appears as roughly 3725GB on Windows and the full 4TB on macOS; choose it if you need pocket-sized storage for large 4K ProRes HDR projects or game libraries.
