Compact metal sharpener for pencils and makeup

The STAEDTLER 511 63BK is a hand-powered sharpener built with a metal body and a blue finish. It accepts standard graphite pencils, coloured pencils and makeup pencils up to 8.2 mm in diameter. The compact round tub fits easily into a pencil case, desk drawer or makeup bag for use at school, in the office or on the go.

Simple twist-top use with spill-proof lid

The screw-on lid locks securely to prevent shavings from spilling during transport. When full, the top twists off for quick emptying without tools. No electrical connection is needed; the hand-cranked mechanism sharpens with a few turns. The metal construction resists cracking if dropped.

Check pencil diameter

Verify that your pencils do not exceed the 8.2 mm maximum opening. Ensure you have room for a cylinder measuring 3.9116 cm by 7.1882 cm by 14.097 cm in your case or drawer. Buyers needing an electric sharpener or one that handles thicker artist sticks should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I tell the STAEDTLER 511 63BK sharpener is working properly after first use?

Turn the pencil; a clean, even point forms and shavings collect inside the transparent chamber without spilling because the screw-on lid stays sealed.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The package contains one blue metal sharpener (model 511 63BK) weighing .032 kg; pencils up to 8.2 mm and makeup pencils are sold separately.

Which version should I choose for standard graphite, coloured and makeup pencils?

The single 511 63BK model handles all three pencil types up to 8.2 mm, so no other capacity or variant is needed.
