Portable dual-screen for laptops

The SideTrak Swivel is a 12.5" Full HD IPS monitor that attaches to the back of a laptop with a semi-permanent metal plate and magnetic connection. It weighs 1.2lbs and draws power through a single USB-C or Mini HDMI cable. The 16:9 panel delivers 300 nits brightness and a 600:1 contrast ratio at 60Hz. It suits mobile professionals who need a second screen without a desk.

Check laptop ports and thickness

Verify your laptop has an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode or a Mini HDMI output for video and power. The metal mounting plate adheres to the laptop lid, so confirm the surface is flat, clean and free of curved edges. No driver installation is required for Mac, PC or Chrome OS, but consoles such as PS4, Xbox and Switch need a compatible video output.

Magnetic hinge with kickstand

The magnetic hinge lets the screen swivel 270° and rotate between landscape and portrait orientations. A built-in kickstand enables freestanding use when the magnetic plate is not attached. The plate remains on the laptop for quick reattachment, while the monitor detaches for transport. The 60Hz IPS panel covers standard sRGB colour for office work.

Questions about this item

What accessories come with the SideTrak Swivel and do I need to buy any cables separately?

The package includes a semi-permanent metal plate, USB-C and Mini HDMI cables, and a magnetic connection system so no extra cables are required for most laptops.

Should I choose the 12.5" FHD IPS model or is there another size or resolution option?

This model is offered only as a 12.5 inch Full HD IPS panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 brightness, and 600:1 contrast, so there is no alternative capacity to select.

What does the 270 degree rotation actually let me do when the monitor is attached to my laptop?

The screen rotates 270 degrees horizontally and vertically, enabling presentation mode, portrait orientation, and left or right attachment while the kickstand also supports freestanding use.
