Star Micronics MCD41716WT55 Cash Drawer

This cash drawer provides a 17 by 16 inch footprint in a white finish for point-of-sale environments. It is designed for retailers and hospitality businesses that need a printer-driven unit with integrated media slots. The tray holds five bill and five coin compartments for organised cash management. A connecting cable is included for direct printer attachment.

Printer-driven operation with two media slots

The drawer opens automatically when triggered by a compatible receipt printer, removing the need for a separate power supply. Two media slots accommodate cheques, vouchers or receipts without opening the main tray. It replaces manual cash boxes or smaller trays that lack printer integration. The jump is worthwhile when a business requires hands-free operation and extra media storage at the till.

Questions about this item

Will the 17x16 inch footprint fit under my counter overhang?

The drawer measures 17 inches wide by 16 inches deep, so verify your clearance matches those exact dimensions.

How do I connect the included cable to a receipt printer, and what mistake should I avoid?

Plug the supplied cable into the printer-driven port on the MCD41716WT55; the common error is seating the connector loosely, which prevents the drawer from opening.
