What this cable delivers

The StarTech 20ft Premium Certified High Speed HDMI Cable carries resolutions up to 4K 60Hz and high refresh rates including 1440p 144Hz and 1080p 240Hz. It supports 21:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 and HDCP 2.2 for secure playback. ARC sends audio from a TV back to a receiver or soundbar. The cable handles up to 32 uncompressed digital audio channels and includes HDMI Ethernet Channel for network connectivity over HDMI.

Check before ordering

Verify that both source and display have full-size HDMI ports and support the 18Gbps bandwidth needed for 4K 60Hz or 1440p 144Hz. Confirm the 20ft length suits the run without excess slack or tension. Ensure the devices implement HDCP 2.2 if protected 4K content is required, and that ARC is enabled on the TV and audio gear for return audio.

Build and daily use

A TPE jacket protects the conductors while staying flexible for routing behind furniture or through trunking. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and maintain a reliable contact over repeated insertions. The 6m reach lets you place a display across a room from the source without signal boosters. ARC and HDMI Ethernet Channel reduce extra cabling by carrying audio return and network data on the same link.

Questions about this item

Does the 20ft HDMI cable include everything needed for a 4K 60Hz connection or are extra adapters required?

The cable is a complete 20ft High Speed HDMI link with HDMI 2.0 connectors on both ends, so no separate adapters are needed to reach 4K 60Hz with a compatible source and display.

When should I choose this 20ft length instead of a shorter or longer version?

Pick the 20ft length when the source and display are roughly 6m apart; shorter cables reduce clutter for closer setups, while longer runs may need an active or fibre solution beyond the passive 18Gbps limit.

What does the 18Gbps rating mean for real-world 4K 60Hz HDR10 playback?

18Gbps carries the full 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 signal with HDR10 and HDCP 2.2, plus ARC audio return and up to 32 uncompressed audio channels, so the cable will not bottleneck a compatible UHD source.
