STARTECH DP14A7MDPCABLE 25ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable

SKU CH-805D-GXJX2 MPN DP14A7MDPCABLE

A 25 ft active DisplayPort 1.4 cable with VESA certification for 8K resolution, HBR3 bandwidth, HDR10 and MST support

  • 25 ft length extends DisplayPort signals across rooms or racks
  • VESA certification confirms compliance with DisplayPort 1.4 performance requirements
  • Active circuitry maintains 8K video quality over the full 7 m run
  • HBR3 bandwidth supports high refresh rates and deep colour at maximum resolution
  • MST capability allows daisy-chaining multiple monitors from one port

StarTech 25ft Active DisplayPort 1.4 Cable

This VESA-certified active cable carries DisplayPort 1.4 signals over a 25-foot distance. It supports HBR3 bandwidth, HDR10 and Multi-Stream Transport for compatible displays. The active circuitry maintains signal integrity at lengths where passive copper cables would fail.

Installers needing long runs to 8K

Suitable for home-theatre, digital-signage or workstation setups where the source and sink are far apart. Not for buyers who need a short passive cable, a plenum-rated jacket, or a fibre-optic link for runs beyond 25 feet.

25-foot active DisplayPort 1.4 reach

The 7-metre length is the critical specification; it determines whether the cable bridges your equipment gap without repeaters. Verify that your GPU and monitor both implement DisplayPort 1.4 with HBR3 before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How much power does the active circuitry draw when the 25ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable runs all day?

The active DisplayPort 1.4 cable draws minimal power from the source DisplayPort connector, so no external power adapter is required for continuous operation.

Which ports must my source and display already have for this 25ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable to work?

Both the source and the display need a standard full-size DisplayPort 1.4 interface; the cable plugs directly into those ports without adapters.

Will this 25ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable work with a monitor that only supports DisplayPort 1.2?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 displays and will operate at the lower version's maximum resolution and refresh rate.
