Ergonomic under-desk keyboard tray

The StarTech KBTRAYADJ mounts beneath a desk to hold a keyboard and mouse on a 26.4in wide platform with an integrated wrist rest. Height adjustment spans 6.7in while tilt and swivel ranges of 15° and 20° let you set a neutral typing posture. A 12.6in extension range pulls the tray toward you or tucks it away. Cable management clips keep wires tidy.

Desk mounting and clearance check

Verify the desk underside has a solid surface for the track-mounted hardware and enough depth for the 24.60in overall unit. Confirm at least 170mm of vertical space below the desktop for the full height travel. Ensure the desk overhang or leg placement does not block the 320mm extension stroke. The tray supports up to 4.4lb so confirm your keyboard and mouse combined weight stays within that limit.

Frees desktop space for monitors and documents

By moving the keyboard off the worksurface the tray reclaims the full 26.4in by 10in footprint for monitors, reference material or a writing area. The low-profile stowed position leaves the leg zone clear when the tray is not in use. Integrated cable routing prevents cords from snagging on the track during height or extension changes. The 11.10lb unit remains stable once locked at the chosen height and angle.

Questions about this item

Does the StarTech KBTRAYADJ come with mounting hardware or must I buy screws separately?

The tray includes the track-mounted hardware needed for under-desk installation; no extra screws are required.

Should I choose this 26.4in tray or a smaller model for a compact keyboard?

The 26.4in width and 10in depth fit full-size keyboards with room for a mouse; a smaller tray would only be needed for very shallow desks.

What does the 4.4lb weight capacity mean when I put my keyboard and mouse on it?

It supports up to 4.4lb (2kg), enough for a typical keyboard and mouse combined without sagging.
