15m OM5 LC duplex cable for 40G and 100G links

This 15-metre OM5 fibre patch cord uses LC to LC UPC connectors and a 50/125µm duplex zipcord design. It is built for 40G and 100G network connections using SWDM across the 850-953nm VCSEL wavelength range. The LSZH jacket meets low-smoke, zero-halogen safety requirements for indoor installations. Ceramic ferrules maintain precise alignment to reduce insertion loss.

Capacity and headroom for high-density multimode

The cable supports 40G and 100G Ethernet over multimode fibre, with SWDM extending usable wavelengths to 953nm for greater capacity than OM4. It remains backward compatible with OM4 and OM3 10G networks, so existing links continue to operate. At 15 metres (49.2ft) it covers typical rack-to-rack or cross-connect distances in data centres. The OM5 rating provides headroom for future speed upgrades within the same multimode infrastructure.

Upgrade path from OM4 and OM3 patch cords

This cable replaces OM4 or OM3 duplex jumpers when moving to 40G or 100G SWDM deployments, or when a project specifies OM5 for new cabling.
