STARTECH LTLOCK3DCOIL laptop cable lock 1.8 m coiled cable server accessory

Portable theft deterrent for K-Slot devices

This StarTech.com LTLOCK3DCOIL cable lock secures laptops, tablets or docking stations that have a standard Kensington lock slot. The resettable three-digit combination removes the need to carry a key, making it a practical choice for mobile professionals who work in shared offices, libraries or coworking spaces.

Simple set-up with a self-coiling cable

Installation takes seconds: insert the lock head into the K-Slot, set your personal code and wrap the cable around a fixed anchor point. The vinyl-coated steel cable stretches to 1.8 m and retracts to 266 mm, so it stays tidy in a bag. The only common issue is forgetting the chosen combination, which cannot be recovered without the original code.

Secures one device at a time

The 1.8 m reach comfortably anchors a notebook to a desk leg or radiator in most meeting rooms. It does not accommodate multiple devices simultaneously, and the fixed cable length may fall short if the nearest anchor point is further away. The lock head fits only standard K-Slot openings, so devices without that slot cannot be protected.
