The STARTECH MASFP1GBSXST is a hot-swappable SFP module built for 1000BASE-SX Gigabit Ethernet links over multimode fibre. It targets network engineers who need a drop-in replacement for the Cisco Meraki MA-SFP-1GB-SX in switches such as the MS225, MX400, MS250, MS350 and MX84. The module also works with MSA-compliant switches from other vendors that accept uncoded transceivers.

LC duplex multimode fibre up to 550 metres

The transceiver uses an LC duplex female port and operates at 850 nm over OM1 or OM2 multimode fibre, reaching distances of 550 m or 1804 ft. It requires a free SFP cage on a switch or router that supports the IEEE 802.3z standard and a matching LC duplex patch cord. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring reports real-time status to SNMP management tools, freeing administrators from manual link checks.

Industrial temperature range for sustained operation

Rated for continuous use from 0 °C to 70 °C (32 °F to 158 °F) with a storage span of -40 °C to 85 °C (-40 °F to 185 °F) and 5–95 % relative humidity, the module maintains a steady 1.25 Gbps transfer rate under load.
