Breakout cable for 40GBase-SR4 links

This MPO-to-LC fan-out cable converts one 40 Gbps MPO connection into four 10 Gbps LC links for 40GBase-SR4 networking hardware. The aqua OM3 multimode fibre uses a 50/125 core/cladding ratio and terminates in a single MPO/MTP female connector on one end and eight LC duplex male connectors on the other. A CMP plenum-rated jacket makes it suitable for air-handling spaces where fire code requires that rating.

One-hand push-pull tabs

Push-and-pull tabs on the MPO connector allow single-handed insertion and removal without tools, which helps in dense patch panels where adjacent cables limit finger access. The slim uniboot LC design reduces the overall diameter of the breakout legs, easing cable management in high-density racks. Each assembly ships with an individual insertion-loss and return-loss test report confirming performance before deployment.

OM3 multimode distance limit

OM3 multimode fibre supports 40 Gbps transmission only up to the distance defined by the 40GBase-SR4 standard, so links that exceed that reach will need single-mode cable instead. The cable is not intended for applications requiring longer backbones or outdoor plant runs. Buyers who need extended-reach 40 Gbps links should select a single-mode alternative.
