Two-port RS232-to-Ethernet gateway
The STARTECH NETRS2322P connects two DB-9 serial devices to a 10/100 Mbps IP network. It supports 7 or 8 data bits with XON/XOFF or RTS/CTS flow control at up to 460.8 Kbps. The metal enclosure includes integrated brackets for wall or surface mounting.
Sustained operation with redundant power
A 9–36 V DC terminal-block input works alongside the bundled universal adapter to keep the link alive during power dips. Isolation rated at 2500 Vrms protects the serial ports from transients on the Ethernet side. Telnet, TCP, UDP, DHCP and BOOTP protocols run continuously without driver reliance.
Check cabling and software environment
Verify that each target device uses a male DB-9 RS232 interface and that your network infrastructure provides 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX connectivity. Windows users can deploy the supplied Virtual COM utility; Mac and Linux hosts rely on the web interface or native Telnet clients.

Questions about this item
How much power does the NETRS2322P draw when running continuously on the 9–36 V DC terminal block?
The unit accepts 9 to 36 V DC through the terminal block and includes a universal power adapter, so it stays powered during dips without a separate UPS.
Which cables and connectors must I already have to link two RS-232 devices to the NETRS2322P?
You need two DB-9 male-to-male serial cables for the RS-232 ports and a standard RJ-45 Ethernet patch lead for the 10/100 Mbps network connection.
Will the NETRS2322P work with legacy equipment that only supports 7 data bits and XON/XOFF flow control?
Yes — the server handles 7 or 8 data bits and offers XON/XOFF, RTS/CTS or no flow control, matching older serial gear.
