40m OM4 multimode cable for 100G links

This 40-metre (131 ft) LC-to-LC UPC cable uses OM4 50/125 µm multimode fibre in an Erika Violet jacket. It is built for high-density 100 GbE connections in data-centre and enterprise patching. The uniboot design keeps two fibres in one boot to save panel space. Ceramic ferrules and aramid yarn give durable, low-loss performance.

Uniboot LC connectors simplify dense installs

The uniboot LC ends plug directly into standard duplex ports without special tools, making rack patching straightforward. Riser-rated OFNR jacket meets vertical-run fire codes. The only common issue is exceeding the OM4 reach for a given transceiver; verify the link budget before deployment. Polarity is fixed straight-through, so confirm the required mapping for your equipment.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 40 m LC-to-LC OM4 link is performing correctly after installation?

Use an optical power meter and light source to measure insertion loss across the 50/125 µm fibre; the reading should fall within the OM4 limits for your network standard.

What connectors and fibre type are included, and is any polishing or termination kit required?

The cable arrives with factory-polished LC UPC uniboot connectors on both ends of 50/125 µm OM4 multimode fibre; no extra termination or polishing hardware is needed.
