Rackmount 17.3-inch 1920x1080 LCD console with dual-rail slide, single-port KVM, VGA and DVI inputs, USB keyboard and mouse, and included cables
The StarTech RKCOND17HD is a 1U rackmount KVM console with a 17.3in 1920x1080 TFT LCD panel. It mounts in a standard 19in rack using the included brackets and cage nuts. The dual-rail mechanism lets the display and keyboard tray slide independently for flexible positioning. A single KVM port manages one server through VGA or DVI video plus USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse connections.
This console suits administrators who need local, at-the-rack access to a single server running analog VGA or digital DVI output at 1080p resolution. It is not for operators who must switch between multiple servers from one console or who require on-screen display menus for configuration. Buyers needing multi-port KVM switching or remote IP access should look at a different product category.
The unit provides exactly one KVM port with VGA, DVI-D, USB Type-B and 3.5mm audio inputs for the target computer. Console-side connectors include VGA, DVI-D, two USB Type-A ports and audio output for the integrated monitor, keyboard and mouse. This single-port design determines whether the console matches a one-to-one server deployment or falls short for multi-system management.

Mount the two rear brackets and included M5 cage nuts into a standard 1U rack space, then slide the 1.70" high unit in; the step often missed is connecting both the VGA and DVI-D cables plus the USB 2.0 Type-B link so the single-port KVM actually switches video and input together.
Clean the 17.3" TFT LCD panel and the dual-rail slide rails periodically; the LED backlight is not user-replaceable, so if brightness drops below the rated 250 cd/m² after extended use the entire console module must be swapped.
The 40 °C (104 °F) operating-temperature ceiling is reached before any electrical limit, so sustained full-load use in a poorly ventilated rack will trigger thermal protection and dim or shut down the display.
