Alias Pro Kit for streaming and podcasting

The SteelSeries Alias Pro Kit 61596 combines an XLR microphone with a stream mixer for gaming, streaming and podcasting. It targets creators who want a single package that handles capture and routing without extra hardware.

XLR interface with 600 ohm impedance

The microphone presents a 600 ohm impedance and a 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio across a 20Hz-20KHz frequency response. These figures set the practical limits for preamp gain staging and noise floor in a typical broadcast chain.

Compact build with plug-and-play operation

The kit uses durable materials in a compact, lightweight form factor that suits portable setups. Plug-and-play connectivity means no driver installation, so the microphone and mixer are ready whenever the session starts.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Alias Pro Kit 61596 or another Alias model for XLR streaming?

The 61596 is the only Alias Pro Kit that pairs an XLR microphone with a dedicated Stream Mixer, giving you hardware gain, mute and headphone controls in one box.

What does the 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio mean for my recordings?

It indicates very low self-noise, so quiet vocals or instruments stay clean without a noise gate crushing the room tone.

How does the 600 ohm impedance affect my interface choice?

At 600 ohms the mic needs an interface or mixer with sufficient pre-amp gain; most modern USB audio interfaces handle it without an extra booster.
