SteelSeries Apex 9 Mini Gaming Keyboard

The SteelSeries Apex 9 Mini is a compact gaming keyboard built for players who want rapid input. Custom OptiPoint optical switches use light to register keystrokes with a 0.2 ms response time and zero debounce. This design targets competitive users who value speed in a small form factor.

Optical Switch Actuation Limits

OptiPoint switches deliver 33% faster actuation than traditional mechanical designs by detecting registration depth with light. The optical mechanism removes physical contact bounce entirely. Buyers who prefer the tactile feedback or audible click of conventional mechanical switches will not find those characteristics here.

Questions about this item

What does the 0.2 ms response time mean for my gaming experience?

The 0.2 ms response time means the keyboard registers each keystroke almost instantly, reducing input lag so your actions in-game happen with virtually no perceptible delay.

How does the 33% faster actuation help me in fast-paced games?

The 33% faster actuation lets the switch trigger earlier in the keystroke, so repeated inputs like strafing or ability spam register quicker than on standard mechanical switches.
