SteelSeries

SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Wired Keyboard & Aerox 3 Mouse Set

SKU CH-WK3B-GMNNY

A tenkeyless keyboard with 40 per‑key actuation levels and rapid trigger pairs with a 59 g holey mouse sporting an 8,500 DPI sensor and IP54 water resistance

  • Adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm per key
  • Rapid Trigger removes fixed-point latency for instant response
  • 20× faster actuation and 11× faster response than traditional mechanical keyboards
  • Two actions on one key via 2-in-1 action keys
  • Aerox 3 mouse weighs 59 g with IP54 water and dust resistance

Apex Pro TKL with Adjustable HyperMagnetic Switches

The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL wired keyboard uses OmniPoint 2.0 adjustable HyperMagnetic switches that let you set per-key actuation between 0.1 and 4.0 mm across 40 levels. Rapid Trigger activates and deactivates keys based on travel distance instead of a fixed point. Two-in-one action keys allow a light press for one command and a deep press for another.

Limits of Magnetic Switch Adjustment

The 0.1 mm minimum actuation point is the practical floor for reliable detection; going lower would increase accidental presses. The 4.0 mm maximum matches a traditional full key stroke, so the range covers both ultra-light taps and deliberate deep presses. Rapid Trigger removes the fixed reset point, but the keyboard still requires a USB-C connection for power and data.

8,500 DPI TrueMove Core Sensor on a 59 g Mouse

The Aerox 3 mouse weighs 59 g thanks to a holey shell and carries an IP54-rated AquaBarrier coating against splashes and dust. Its TrueMove Core optical sensor tops out at 8,500 DPI and is co-developed with PixArt for pixel-perfect tracking. Golden Micro IP54 switches provide crispy clicks with added dust and water resistance.

Questions about this item

How do I choose between the 0.1 mm and 4.0 mm actuation settings on the OmniPoint 2.0 switches?

Use the 40 per-key levels to set WASD at a shallow 0.1 mm for rapid movement and assign deeper 4.0 mm presses to ability keys so they only trigger with deliberate force.

What does the 20x faster actuation claim mean when I am actually playing?

The OmniPoint 2.0 magnetic switches register a keystroke the instant the key passes your chosen actuation point, removing the fixed mechanical delay found in traditional keyboards.

How does the 8,500 DPI TrueMove Core sensor cap my real tracking speed?

The sensor tracks flawlessly up to 8,500 counts per inch; in practice your maximum usable sensitivity is limited by mousepad size and hand speed rather than the sensor itself.
