87-key tenkeyless wireless esports keyboard

The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL WL Gen 3 is a compact wireless gaming keyboard built for competitive players who need adjustable actuation and cable-free freedom. Its 87-key layout removes the number pad to maximise mouse space while keeping full function access. Tri-mode connectivity covers 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth and a detachable USB-C wired link for tournament flexibility.

OmniPoint 3.0 switches

Each magnetic Hall Effect switch lets you set actuation anywhere from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm per key, with Rapid Trigger resetting at 0.7 ms and Protection Mode preventing accidental presses. The linear feel suits fast repeated inputs, and the switches are rated for 100 million keystrokes. Battery life reaches 37.5 hours on 2.4 GHz and 45 hours on Bluetooth before recharge.

Aircraft-grade aluminum frame

A rigid aluminum top plate resists flex during intense play, while double-shot PBT keycaps withstand shine over time. The built-in OLED screen shows profiles, settings and system info at a glance, complemented by a tactile volume roller. A detachable magnetic wrist rest and three-level tilt feet adapt to desk posture, and the 5920 mAh battery charges via the braided USB-C cable.

Questions about this item

Will the 87-key TKL layout free up mouse space while I keep my current USB-C wired headset connected?

Yes, the tenkeyless design removes the number pad for wider mouse area and the keyboard still offers a detachable USB-C wired mode alongside 2.4GHz and Bluetooth.

How can I confirm the OmniPoint 3.0 switches are registering the 0.7ms Rapid Trigger response after setup?

The built-in OLED smart display shows real-time actuation data and you can test per-key response directly in the SteelSeries GG software.

Does the box include the 2.4GHz dongle and wrist rest, or do I buy them separately?

Both are included — 1 × USB-C wireless dongle, 1 × wireless extension adapter, and 1 × detachable magnetic wrist rest ship in the package.
