Right-handed 71g esports mouse

The SteelSeries Prime+ 62490 is a wired gaming mouse built for competitive right-handed players who use palm or claw grip. It weighs 71 grams and houses a TrueMove Pro optical sensor rated at 18,000 DPI with 650 IPS tracking and 50G acceleration. Five programmable buttons and on-board memory let you store profiles without software. The matte black chassis uses Prestige OM+ optical magnetic switches rated for 100 million clicks.

USB-A port and Windows, Mac, Xbox or Linux

Your system needs a free USB-A port for the detachable 2-metre Super Mesh USB-C to USB-A cable. The mouse runs on Windows, Mac, Xbox and Linux with SteelSeries Engine 3.15.1 or newer for full configuration. No battery or wireless receiver is involved, so there is nothing to charge or pair. Verify that your OS version is supported by the current Engine release before ordering.

Prestige OM+ switches

Optical magnetic switches remove mechanical debounce and keep a consistent click feel across the 100-million-click rating. The detachable Super Mesh cable reduces drag and can be replaced if damaged without discarding the mouse. Virgin-grade PTFE glide skates provide low-friction movement on common pad surfaces. The hole-free shell resists dust ingress and suits tournament environments where reliability matters.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and does the mouse need a separate cable?

The package includes the Prime+ wired mouse, a detachable 2 m Super Mesh USB-C to USB-A cable, a quick-start guide, warranty information and a product registration card. The cable is supplied so nothing extra is required for a wired connection.

The title mentions 26 000 DPI but the spec sheet lists 18 000 DPI — which figure should I expect?

The specification table lists the sensor resolution as 18 000 DPI; the 26 000 DPI value appears only in the marketing title. You can configure the sensor up to the 18 000 DPI limit through SteelSeries Engine.

How does the 71 g weight feel during long FPS sessions compared to the 77 g figure in the highlights?

The spec sheet records the mouse at 71 g, which is lighter than the 77 g quoted in the highlights. At 71 g the right-handed ergonomic shell stays easy to swipe and reduces fatigue during extended play.
