Wired Xbox 360 headset for gamers

The SteelSeries Spectrum 4XB is a wired, over-ear headset built for Xbox 360 players. It connects through a 3.5mm plug and includes a retractable unidirectional microphone for voice chat. The package comes with an AudioMixer that links the headset to the console. Lightweight construction and cloth-covered foam cushions keep long sessions comfortable.

Cloth cushions and inline mixer control

XL-sized ear cups wrap around the ears with soft cloth-covered foam to reduce background noise. The circumaural design isolates game audio while staying light on the head. An inline AudioMixer puts independent volume dials for game sound and chat within easy reach. A dedicated LiveMix button boosts voice communication over loud effects without raising overall volume.

Entry-level upgrade from basic pack-ins

This headset replaces the mono earpiece or low-end bundled headsets that shipped with the console. The jump is worth it when you want stereo game audio, a retractable boom mic and separate chat and game volume controls. Buyers who need wireless freedom or multi-platform USB audio will not find those features here.
