STEINER 02209-L Welding Gloves

The STEINER 02209-L welding gloves are a pair of 14-inch gauntlet-style gloves sized large for left and right hands. They are built for stick welding and similar hot-work tasks where forearm coverage and durability are required.

Sustained heat and abrasion resistance

Cowhide leather on the palm, back and cuff resists repeated exposure to spatter and radiant heat during long welding sessions. The Gunn cut pattern and wing thumb reduce seam stress in high-flex areas so the gloves maintain integrity over extended use.

Thermal protection and handling comfort

The full leather construction insulates the hand and lower forearm from heat while the natural fibre allows enough breathability to limit sweat build-up during normal workshop shifts. Weight and bulk remain typical for a 14-inch cowhide gauntlet glove.

Questions about this item

How hot do the 14 in cowhide gloves feel when worn all day during stick welding?

The 14 in length and cowhide palm and back provide a barrier that reduces heat transfer during extended stick welding sessions.

What existing protective gear is required so the STEINER 02209-L gloves integrate properly?

The gauntlet cuff is designed to overlap standard welding jacket sleeves for continuous arm coverage.

Will the wing thumb and Gunn cut restrict movement when using an older stick holder?

The wing thumb and Gunn cut allow natural hand positioning while gripping a traditional stick electrode holder.
