Flame-Resistant Jacket with Leather Sleeves
The STEINER 1250-L is a flame-resistant jacket designed for men who face flames, metal spatter and sparks. It combines a 9 oz cotton body with rugged side-split rust cowhide leather sleeves for added durability. Sleeves are sewn with Kevlar thread and stress points are bar-tacked for reinforcement.
Welders and metalworkers needing flame and spatter
Workers who require high-visibility clothing or certified fall-protection compatibility should look at other garments. This jacket is not rated for high-visibility use and does not support fall-protection systems.
Snap closure with adjustable wrist snaps
The shirt-style collar fastens with black anodized non-reflective snaps for secure closure. Adjustable snap wrists allow the fit to be tightened around the forearms. A large inside pocket provides convenient storage for soapstone or small tools.

Questions about this item
How long do the Kevlar-sewn leather sleeves last before they need replacing?
The sleeves are sewn with Kevlar thread for added durability at stress points; actual lifespan depends on exposure to flame, spatter and abrasion in daily use.
Which part of the jacket reaches its heat limit first during continuous welding?
The 9 oz cotton body is rated for flame, metal spatter and spark protection; the leather sleeves add reinforcement where heat exposure is highest.
Does the jacket become heavy or trap heat when worn for a full shift?
The relaxed fit with adjustable snap wrists and a large inside pocket allows airflow and movement, while the 9 oz fabric weight balances protection and comfort.
