STEINER 2119B-KSC-L Welding Gloves
These STEINER welding gloves are built for stick welding tasks that demand durable hand protection. Premium cowhide covers both the palm and the back, while a wing thumb design improves comfort and dexterity during extended use. The 14 in length and Gunn cut full back provide broad coverage for the wrist and forearm. They are sized large and fit either hand.
Kevlar Spark Cuff and Knit Cuff
A Kevlar spark cuff resists high-temperature spatter and helps prevent burn-through at the wrist opening. The knit cuff beneath it seals out debris and holds the glove securely in place without restricting movement. Together these cuff features extend the protective zone beyond the leather itself. The combination is intended for environments where hot particles are a constant hazard.
Stick Welding Coverage and Limits
The 14 in glove length and full-back leather construction comfortably handle typical stick welding positions and moderate radiant heat. Heavy overhead work or prolonged contact with very hot workpieces may exceed the protection offered by Grade B cowhide alone. Users needing higher heat resistance or specialised aluminised backs should consider additional protective layers. One pair is included per package.

Questions about this item
How often will the Kevlar(R) spark cuff on these 14-inch gloves need replacing under daily stick welding?
The Kevlar(R) spark cuff is stitched into the gauntlet and lasts the usable life of the glove; replace the pair once the cowhide palm shows deep cracking or burn-through.
What wears out first on the wing-thumb palm during continuous stick welding sessions?
The B-grade cowhide palm thins fastest at the wing-thumb contact point, so the glove reaches its limit when that area becomes paper-thin or develops holes.
How hot does the cowhide back get after hours of stick welding?
The full-back cowhide design insulates the hand, so the back stays warm but not blistering during extended stick welding; the Kevlar(R) cuff blocks sparks from rolling inside.
