Sterno 20612 Chafing Fuel Ethanol Gel 2 hr PK72

This pack contains 72 cans of green ethanol gel chafing fuel designed for use with chafing dishes. It serves catering operations, buffet lines and event staff who need a consistent heat source for holding prepared food at serving temperature. Buyers requiring a different burn duration or a liquid fuel format will need another product.

Sustained performance across a service window

Each can delivers a two hour burn time, providing steady heat throughout a typical meal service without the flare-up that can occur with some liquid fuels. The gel formulation resists spillage if a can is knocked over, reducing the risk of interrupted heating during busy periods. Fuel is consumed evenly so the last tray stays as warm as the first.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

The ethanol gel burns with a clean, virtually odourless flame that produces no soot on chafing dishes or surrounding surfaces. Operation is silent, adding no background noise to dining areas. No electrical connection is required, so there is no power draw and no need for outlets near the buffet line.

Questions about this item

Does the ethanol gel produce noticeable fumes or heat after several hours of continuous use?

Each can burns for about 2 hours and is designed for chafing dishes, so heat output is steady and contained during that period.

What equipment is required to use these fuel cans safely?

They are made for standard chafing dishes; you only need a compatible dish holder to support the can.

Will the 20612 cans fit the older chafing stands I already own?

The cans follow the common size used with most chafing dish stands, so they should seat securely in existing holders.
